Bluebell Babysitting
At Bluebell Babysitting, we aim to make arranging childcare simple, reliable and stress-free. Please read the following terms before confirming your booking.
1. Booking Confirmation
All bookings are arranged through Bluebell Babysitting.
Once a suitable babysitter has been allocated and the booking details have been agreed upon, families will receive a secure payment link.
Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received.
Until payment is completed, babysitter availability cannot be guaranteed.
Families are responsible for ensuring that all booking information is accurate, including the date, start and finish times, location, number and ages of children, and any additional care requirements.
2. Pricing & Payment
Full payment is required upfront to secure a booking.
The total booking price will be provided before payment.
All babysitting rates include Bluebell's agency fees. There are no separate booking or referral fees.
A minimum booking of three hours applies. Bookings shorter than three hours are charged at the three-hour minimum.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
All prices are in Australian dollars.
3. Cancellations by Families
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility for families while respecting the time and income of our babysitters.
More than 48 hours' notice
Bookings cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a full refund.
Within 48 hours of the booking
Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time will incur a $70 cancellation fee. The remaining booking amount will be refunded.
No-shows and cancellations after the scheduled start time
Where a family does not attend, is unavailable for the booking, or cancels after the scheduled start time, the booking may be treated as a late cancellation. Any amount retained will be subject to applicable consumer law and the reasonable costs or losses arising from the cancellation.
Cancellation requests must be communicated directly to Bluebell Babysitting. The time Bluebell receives the cancellation request will determine the applicable cancellation window.
4. Changes to Bookings
We understand that families may occasionally need to adjust their plans.
Requests to change a booking date, time, location or other details must be made through Bluebell Babysitting.
Changes are subject to babysitter availability and are not guaranteed.
If additional hours are requested and agreed upon, these will be charged at the applicable hourly rate. Any additional payment will be arranged through Bluebell Babysitting.
If a booking is shortened within 48 hours of its scheduled start time, the original booking amount may remain payable, subject to applicable consumer law.
5. Babysitter Cancellations
In the unlikely event that your allocated babysitter becomes unavailable, Bluebell Babysitting will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable replacement.
If a replacement cannot be arranged, or the family does not wish to proceed with the proposed replacement, a full refund will be provided for the babysitting services that cannot be delivered.
Families will not be charged a cancellation fee when Bluebell is unable to provide the agreed babysitting service.
6. Family Responsibilities & Respectful Conduct
To help us provide safe and appropriate care, families agree to:
Provide accurate information about the children, including relevant allergies, medical needs and care instructions.
Provide a safe, comfortable and respectful working environment.
Treat babysitters with kindness, courtesy and professionalism at all times.
Ensure an appropriate parent or authorised adult is contactable throughout the booking.
Provide emergency contact information.
Communicate any changes to care requirements through Bluebell Babysitting.
Obtain agreement in advance for any transportation of children.
Babysitters provide childcare and reasonable child-related tidying. General household cleaning and unrelated domestic tasks are not included unless expressly agreed upon.
Respect & Safety
Bluebell Babysitting is committed to ensuring that babysitters feel safe, valued and respected while working with families.
Abusive, discriminatory, threatening, inappropriate or unsafe behaviour towards babysitters will not be tolerated.
Bluebell reserves the right to decline future booking requests or discontinue services where there are reasonable concerns about the safety, wellbeing or respectful treatment of babysitters.
Any cancellation or refund arising from a discontinued booking will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
7. Babysitting Arrangements
Bluebell Babysitting coordinates bookings with screened babysitters who provide services as independent contractors.
Bluebell manages booking arrangements, payments and communication between families and babysitters.
All booking changes, additional payments, cancellations and concerns should be communicated through Bluebell Babysitting.
8. Booking Directly with Babysitters (Non-Solicitation)
Bluebell Babysitting invests time and resources into carefully screening, introducing and coordinating babysitters for families.
By booking through Bluebell Babysitting, families agree not to approach or engage babysitters introduced through Bluebell for private childcare arrangements outside the agency without prior written approval.
This includes arranging future bookings directly with a babysitter to avoid Bluebell's booking process or agency fees.
If a family attempts to arrange private bookings with a Bluebell babysitter in breach of this agreement, Bluebell reserves the right to decline future bookings and, where legally permitted, seek recovery of reasonable, demonstrable losses resulting from the breach.
We appreciate families respecting this arrangement, which helps us continue providing a reliable and professional babysitting service.
9. Refunds & Concerns
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method wherever possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and financial institution.
If families have concerns about a booking or the care provided, they are encouraged to contact Bluebell Babysitting promptly so the matter can be reviewed and addressed fairly.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By completing payment, the person making the booking confirms that they:
Have reviewed and agreed to the booking details and total price.
Understand that full payment is required to confirm the booking.
Have read and accepted Bluebell Babysitting's Booking, Payment & Cancellation Terms.
Understand the applicable cancellation fees and refund arrangements.
Agree to provide accurate information and a safe, respectful environment for the babysitter.
Understand that babysitters introduced through Bluebell Babysitting must be booked through the agency unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Bluebell Babysitting reserves the right to decline or discontinue bookings where there are genuine safety or conduct concerns, subject to applicable consumer law.
