Bluebell Babysitting was born from a simple idea: finding someone qualified and reliable to care for your children shouldn't be so difficult.

After years of working with children and families, one thing became clear — I've never heard a parent say, "It's so easy to find good help."

And I thought, why shouldn't it be?

The story behind Bluebell

Hi, I'm Ebonie, the founder of Bluebell Babysitting.

I hold a Bachelor of Primary Education and have spent the past four years teaching in lower primary classrooms. Before and alongside teaching, I've spent over six years working as a babysitter, nanny and au pair, caring for children both here in Australia and overseas, including in Europe and New Zealand.

While I genuinely love teaching, nannying has always held a particularly special place in my heart. There's something wonderful about becoming a trusted part of a family's everyday life — getting to know their little ones, celebrating their milestones and being someone parents can truly rely on.

For years, I've dreamed of creating my own babysitting agency. My dream was to create an agency that connects Canberra families with safe, experienced and trustworthy babysitters, while recognising and valuing the skills, expertise and dedication they bring to their work. A place where children receive exceptional care, parents have peace of mind, and sitters are respected and fairly compensated for the important work they do.

And so, Bluebell was born.
